Right now it is spring in South Korea! South Korea's spring weather reminds me of the weather back home. Constant temperature fluctuations- cold weather in the morning to hot weather in the evening.
Even with the temperature fluctuations, the weather is much more tolerable than the frigid winter I was welcomed in.
With the spring time comes along something I have always dreamed of seeing. Cherry blossoms!! I actually live on a street with cherry blossoms lining the sides and walking down the road was such a treat everyday.
However, through the grape vine, I heard of even a better place to experience Daegu's cherry blossoms. A park only 20 minutes away from my home, called Duryu Park.
Duryu Park holds Daegu's E-World amusement park. There is a fee entrance to the park, but it is not necessary to go inside to experience the cherry blossoms. I was fortunate enough to be able to go and see them right before a rainy week and it did not disappoint! They aren't as pink as I imagined them to be, which are mainly found in Japan. Which makes sense since I imagined pink ones due to romantic anime scenes, but still absolutely stunning. The surrounding couples made me miss Jonathan even more than I already do, but Cherim was a wonderful company, so I throughly enjoyed myself.
This was a spontaneous trip, so all photos were taken on my iphone.
